Precious metal finishes we
provide are gold and silver.
Gold: Our process is 24K pure gold plating. This coating is exceptional for soldering, conducting electricity, and has great corrosion resistance. 24K gold is soft and dull in appearance. This is not the same type that would be applied to jewelry or for an application where some wear resistance is needed. Silver: Our silver finish is matte (not bright) in appearance. It is great for conducting electricity, soldering, and has high corrosion resistance properties and can be used as a high temperature lubricant. It is a soft coating and will wear fairly easily. This type of silver should not be used for decorative or tableware applications. Hohman Plating utilizes both Rack and Barrel methods for these finishes. |
