Hohman Plating & Mfg., Inc. receives awards for Safety

Hohman Plating has always considered itself as a safe workplace.  So when we decided to step up to an even higher level of safety we decided to place the safety into the hands of the people that could really make an impact.  So in the summer of 2006, Hohman placed the challenge of keeping Hohman Plating safe into the hands of the entire Hohman Plating team. 

The challenge was to maintain a minimum of total accidents to their present level and to not allow for more than one lost time accident per quarter.  The benefit of these standards would be shared by all employees in a shared performance bonus. 

The results are impressive.  Not only has Hohman maintained a low accident rate but has improved dramatically.  The Bureau of Workers Compensation has recognized the results and has given Hohman awards in multiple categories.

The awards are:

• For outstanding safety performance in
• Group safety
• 100% safety
• Achievement    
• For outstanding effort in safety by operating without lost-time accident:
• From 8/6/06 to 12/31/07 with 528,687 hours worked
